This machine is our offering as an entry point into Electronic Variable Speed woodturning, but don't let that lead you to believe it lacks features! We've packed as much as we can into this model for it's price and it represents exceptionally good value.

While compact in size, this machine's capacity is larger than many other benchtop units offering a full 305mm (12") swing over the bed along with 530mm (21") between centres! That covers many craft projects from very decent size bowls and platters, to chair legs, while pens and pepper mills are well covered. Table legs are covered via an optional bed extension, should that be your cup of tea.

This capacity is paired with a 950W motor (1-1/4HP) - the largest of any machine in it's class! So you also have plenty of power behind you for whatever project you take on. That power is fed through an Electronic Variable Speed control with a Digital Readout, for easy referencing and changing the speed according to need. The EVS system delivers speeds of 250 to 3450RPM over two belt changes, which helps maintain torque at the lower speeds.

Other standard features include Forward and Reverse capability, MT2 fittings including a supplied Live Centre and Drive Centre, an 80mm Faceplate, 200mm tool rest and a centre knock out bar are all included.

We've utilised the most common spindle thread for benchtop lathes of 1" x 8TPI, so you're never lacking in ability to purchase accessories including chucks where this thread is well and truly serviced.

All in all, a feature rich, great value machine that is an excellent entry into woodturning, or upgrade for those currently using smaller or belt change bench lathes.
