A natural non-toxic eco friendly and solvent free timber finish for wooden floors and timber surfaces. A breathable wooden floor finish made with quality oils, carnauba wax and beeswax which naturally protects wood and guards against dryness. Nourishes wood and gives an authentic finish to furniture. Primes and topcoats in one while enhancing the timber grain and patina with an absorbent durable and water-repelling finish.
Uses
As a natural finish for interior timber floors. Also suited to walls, ceilings, doors, moldings and timber panels, hardwood floors, softwood floors, timber walls, stone, concrete, bamboo flooring, vinyl flooring, oak flooring, native wood flooring and cork flooring. Not for use on top of laminate flooring. Not suitable for wet areas. Caustic substances, such as soaps, vinegar, citric acids, alkaline and bleaches may mark waxed surfaces. Coverage - Around 15m2 per 500grams for most wooden floors and timbers depending on the absorbency and substrate of the wood.
Preparation
Remove old sealants dirt and dust. Always test product on a spare surface or area for colour, compatibility and end result. The surface must be well sanded and clean. If glue is used in a laid timber floor, ensure it is fully hardened before applying wax.
Application
Apply a coat of Bee Kind Wooden Floor Wax sparingly by rubbing in wooden flooring with a soft, lint-free cotton cloth. Allow to dry for a minimum of 2 hours. Repeat on new or very dry wood as it may require two or more coats. For a higher sheen build-up with thin coats of wax, buffing between coats. Optional to buff or not, depending on finish required. Drying time Min 2 hours. The drying time of oil-based and beeswax products is prolonged by high humidity and/or low temperatures during application. Do not use over laminate flooring. Application: Brush/cloth/sponge.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe over with a cloth or duster and re-wax as required when the surface looks dull and tired. Do not wash with water. Comes in 500gram sealed tin. Seal well after use and store in a cool and dry place. Shelf life is 3 years.
