The Carbatec Spiral Head Benchtop Thicknesser is an excellent addition to your workshop for trimming board flat and to a consistent thickness. This portable machine does not take up as much space as a full sized machine but has plenty of features. The Spiral Head Cutter head offers reduced noise as well as less chatter and tear-out in curly or highly figured wood. This machine's 26 two-sided cutter knives are made of High Speed Steel and are held in place by a Torx style screw. Other benefits include: reduced shavings increase the effectiveness of your dust collection setup, less machine wear, better chip ejection, rapid cutter change, smoother cuts, less tear-out and reduced vibration. Optional Tungsten Carbide cutters are also available.
