Bee Kind - Finisher's Formula for Woodturning and Craftworks
New Improved Screw top Tin 180g
Finisher’s Formula is non-toxic, non flammable and is a 100% natural blend of carefully selected oils and pure unrefined beeswax for finished and unfinished fine woods and antiques.
With concern for the environment and the movement away from synthetic and chemical products, Finisher’s Formula is a natural choice, based on a traditional blend of beeswax, manuka honey, carnuaba wax, quality plant oils and pure certified essential oils.
Finisher’s formula is 100% Biodegradable, non flammable and contains no solvents, no artificial fragrances, silicates, toxins and petroleum distillates... yes it’s 100% chemical free!
Our pure unrefined beeswax and active UHF manuka honey is sourced from Haines Apiraries, Northland, New Zealand and our pure Manuka oil is sourced from the East Cape, New Zealand.
Manuka Oil is highly effective against bacteria, fungi, yeast and mould, naturally ensuring eating areas are free from microscopic bacteria and fungal colonies which may occur in wood. This is a perfect choice for restoring antique dining tables, restoring wood, or for use on antique kitchen surfaces in older homes without using any nasty chemicals.
Bee kind formula is food grade, so it can also be used for wood turners and burnishing and craftwork projects, including native wood food bowls and eco kitchen wooden platforms.
Finisher’s Formula is different from commercial furniture polishes because most sprays have a petroleum distillate base and have the tendency to evaporate quickly. Sprays such as pledge contain chemical silicones, which will eventually destroy the antique finish on your wood or produce spots over a period of time.
Our recommended application is to apply a thin coat of wax to the timber with a cotton cloth, let sit for ten minutes so the oils can penetrate the surface then either with a rotating cotton buff/mop or a simple soft cotton cloth, buff to a warm lustre.
For Woodturning on the lathe: Apply on the lathe at a suggested speed of 800rpm. With a lint free cloth apply firm pressure until an even shine appears.

I'm a Guitarmaker living in Kerikeri and have been using this wax finish over a sanding sealer on my guitars for the past year. It is a fantastic product and brings out the warmth and beauty in the native timbers I use.I'm very Eco conscious so this product definetely ticks all the boxes too.
many thanks.
Christian.
